Fatherhood - God Is Our Perfect Model

There is not a perfect model of fatherhood, this side of Heaven. The role and the relationship are so very important. We learn to connect with God from our dads. If the relationship is unhealthy, then understanding God becomes more difficult. This will be a series of three brief messages in which we explore the fatherhood of God. In studies 2 and 3 we will consider some of the characteristics of our Father God. Here with the introduction, I share my struggle with understanding and being a dad. Also, we consider the model of God as portrayed in Galatians 4:4-7. We are adopted as His children, He relates with healthy and intimate love, and we are established as heirs of God the Father. Listen! You might learn something. Also, my sermons have been known to cure insomnia.
